Burning Desire...

open up your heart...
allow your desires to ignite
feel the warmth around you...
see the stars before you...
fly with your dreams...
and believe in who you are.

Today, I am aware of the difference it makes when I truly listen to what my heart is telling me. When I not only listen but act upon that knowledge. Today, I am aware that if I ignite my burning desires and let the flames burn brightly I feel much better, I laugh more often, I smile just that much wider! Today, I am aware that by believing in myself, by believing that what I do makes a difference, by believing that my creativity needs only to be allowed to burn brightly I can create with a freedom that comes from love. The love of just being able to do what I do for my own personal reasons. Today, I am aware of my burning desire to be grateful for all that I do and all that I have. Today, I open my heart from the inside and let its rays flow outward as I unfold and fly.
Artfully Yours,
Pattie

PS: What is your burning desire saying to your heart? And will you honor it today?

I love to read your words and then view your art that corresponds. I have to admit that I am copying you in doing my affirmations. I may not post them each and every day, but I will do them in my journal.
Thanks for inspiring me.

I have a lot of burning desires, but one jumped out at me today. I was coloring with my 4 y/o grand-daughter, and I'd drawn a butterfly. I do NOT draw. When my granddaughter asks me to draw things like dogs or cats I cringe - they usually look bizarre - their own mothers would not know them!

But I drew an "ok" butterfly and got yakking to my granddaughter about how i'd made a stained glass butterfly years ago - and then i told her about glass..and..then i found myself getting really energized..working with glass and working with textiles have always given me the feeling of being an artist..a feeling i don't get normally...

so working with glass (and i even still have plenty around- good packrat that i am) is calling to me today..and i might not have noticed if it werent for your question!

waves of gratitude to you pattie!
